A telephone call took place between Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, and Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad in the Kingdom of Morocco, on Tuesday, as part of the periodic consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published on the ministry’s Facebook page, the two ministers emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and Morocco and the development they are witnessing in various political, economic and trade fields, which is reflected in the strength of the historical relations between the two countries. The two ministers affirmed their shared commitment to continuing to enhance partnership in various political, economic and investment fields, in order to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
The ongoing preparations for holding the Joint Coordination and Follow-up Committee meeting in the presence of the Prime Ministers of the two countries in the coming period were also discussed, which will contribute to advancing the course of joint cooperation and achieving the interests of the two brotherly countries.
The call also witnessed the exchange of views between the two ministers on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, stressing the importance of continuing coordination, consultation and intensifying contacts during the next stage, in order to support regional security and stability and enhance joint Arab and African action to deal with current challenges and achieve common interests.
