The entire interview was aired at a later time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In response to the interviewer\u2019s question \u201cwhat would it take for you to agree to normalise relations with Israel?\u201d the Saudi Crown Prince replied, \u201cThere is an approach from President Biden\u2019s administration to get to that point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added, For us, the Palestinian issue is very important. We need to solve that part, and we have good negotiations continuing till now, we will see where it will go. We hope that will reach a place that will ease the life of the Palestinians and get Israel as a player in the Middle East<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"BCZZab7M12k\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Saudi crown prince says &#039;every day we get closer&#039; to normalisation with Israel \u2022 FRANCE 24 English\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BCZZab7M12k?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In response to a remark by the interview that there are reports that he had suspended talks, Bin Salman replied, \u201cThat is not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The interviewer continued, asking: \u201cSo do you think, if you were to characterise it, are you close?\u201d to which the Saudi Crown Prince replied: \u201cEvery day we get closer,\u201d without further details.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In recent months, there has been increased talk by Israeli officials about the imminent normalisation of relations with Saudi Arabia, but Riyadh has confirmed on more than one occasion that normalisation will not occur until a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is reached.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"Ry_pOErDuBU\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Saudi Crown Prince MBS says Israel normalisation getting \u2018closer\u2019\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ry_pOErDuBU?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In another context, in response to the interviewer\u2019s question about Tehran, which read, \u201cAre you concerned about Iran getting a nuclear weapon?\u201d the Saudi Crown Prince said, \u201cWe are concerned about any country getting a nuclear weapon. That\u2019s a bad move. You do not need to get a nuclear weapon because you can\u2019t use it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added, \u201cAny country that uses nuclear weapons means that it is having a war with the rest of world. The world cannot see another Hiroshima.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf the world sees 100,000 people dead, that means you are in a war with the rest of the world, so it is a useless effort to reach a nuclear weapon because you cannot use it; if you use it, you\u2019re going to have a big fight with the rest of the world,\u201d added the Crown Prince.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The interviewer then asked, \u201cIf they (i.e., Iran) get one (nuclear weapon), will you?\u201d to which the Crown Prince replied, \u201cIf they get one, we have to get one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is worth noting that Saudi-Iranian relations have returned to normal in recent months through Chinese mediation of an agreement between the two countries last March, following severed ties lasting years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Salman, denied reports that he has suspended normalisation talks with Israel, confirming that they are getting closer every day to achieving normalisation.
