These charges stem from a complaint filed by Minister of Justice and former Secretary-General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), Abdelatif Ouahbi, opening the door to a legal showdown between the press and political authority in Morocco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Background of the Case: A Lengthy Summons and Investigation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The case began when the National Judicial Police Brigade in Casablanca summoned journalist El Mahdaoui on February 17.
