In an unprecedented and serious development in Algeria\u2019s relations with three key Sahel countries, Algiers announced on Monday that it was recalling its ambassadors to Mali and Niger for consultations, and suspending the accreditation of its new ambassador to Burkina Faso. The move came in response to a joint, shocking statement issued by the three countries accusing Algeria of supporting what they called \u201cinternational terrorism.\u201d<\/p>\n
