The U.S. administration and several Western allies have repeatedly described Morocco\u2019s autonomy initiative as a \u201cserious, credible, and realistic plan.\u201d This terminology is now echoed by influential states at the UN Security Council and within European decision-making circles. Yet, this does not negate the importance of maintaining diplomatic vigilance, for eloquence at the level of discourse obliges us to greater credibility in our internal practices.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1023\">What do recent international facts tell us?<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1706\">\n<li data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1218\">\n<p data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1218\">The United States renewed its support for Morocco\u2019s approach and described the autonomy plan as the practical solution \u2014 placing the term \u201cserious\u201d at the heart of the diplomatic narrative.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1452\">\n<p data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1452\">The United Kingdom, France, and other European countries joined in describing the plan as \u201ccredible and worthy of discussion,\u201d giving further momentum to Morocco\u2019s diplomatic movement within the UN and international institutions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1453\" data-end=\"1706\">\n<p data-start=\"1455\" data-end=\"1706\">The UN (reports from the Security Council and the General Assembly) continues to follow the dossier within its institutional framework, meaning that any progress must align with negotiations under UN mandate and the political nature of the conflict.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1713\" data-end=\"1786\">Internal analytical reading: credibility of autonomy starts at home<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1958\">The international focus on the term \u201cserious\u201d does not mean external support is sufficient.
