Its failure was immediate and tangible, especially in the Tindouf camps, where political stagnation and social hardship are fueling rising discontent.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5122\" data-end=\"5172\"><strong data-start=\"5126\" data-end=\"5172\">Autonomy as the new international standard<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5174\" data-end=\"5436\">The most damaging development for the Polisario is not merely the resolution itself, but the new global understanding of self-determination: no longer synonymous with secession, it is increasingly interpreted as meaningful self-governance within existing states.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5438\" data-end=\"5636\">Morocco has succeeded in turning its 2007 autonomy initiative into a <strong data-start=\"5507\" data-end=\"5530\">UN-backed reference<\/strong>, while the separatist project remains trapped in an outdated and unrealistic vision of international law.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5643\" data-end=\"5684\"><strong data-start=\"5647\" data-end=\"5684\">When propaganda replaces politics<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5686\" data-end=\"5952\">By exaggerating and distorting the outcome of its Washington contacts, the Polisario has only highlighted its own weakness.
