Cairo – Egypt’s Ministry of Interior is continuing to expand its security cooperation with African and Commonwealth countries through specialized training programs, professional development initiatives, and the exchange of expertise, reflecting Cairo’s commitment to strengthening security partnerships and supporting the capabilities of counterpart institutions in friendly nations.
As part of these efforts, the Police Research Center at the Egyptian Police Academy, in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized a series of training courses for 106 security personnel from African and Commonwealth countries. The programs were conducted under the supervision of a distinguished team of Egyptian police officers with advanced academic and professional qualifications, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior.
The initiative reflects Egypt’s continued approach of leveraging its security expertise and developing human capabilities to strengthen institutional cooperation with African countries.
According to information published by the official website of the Police Academy, the African Center for Research and Studies on Crime Prevention has organized approximately 344 training courses since its establishment in 1986, benefiting 10,260 participants from 49 African countries as of early 2023.
Beyond police training, these initiatives represent an important dimension of Egypt’s diplomatic engagement, aimed at building sustainable partnerships and exchanging expertise to address cross-border security challenges.
